If you’re a couch potato or a computer addict, you can combine those two loves and watch satellite TV online instead!  We see a lot of huge advances in electronic products these days with gadgets like Apple’s iPhone, which was unveiled early in 2007. At softpedia.com, for example, there were several useful programs available for your entertainment, such as MyTheater.  MyTheater works with several DVB PCI cards, including DVB-S, DVB-C, and DVB-T.  MyTheater will allow you to watch satellite TV online, and it also allows you to listen to satellite radio.

That means you can jam out to your favorite music too!  MyTheater is shareware and costs $40.  Newegg.com is a good online store if you’re looking for great deals on computer components such as CPUs, RAM, and video cards, DVB cards, generally used with actual satellite installations were non-existent (only DVI cards were available).  You may also be able to find any items you might need at our store at the top of the page.

Of course, before you purchase any system, software or components, you should check out which satellite service will best fit your needs.  For example, Hawaii is one state with coverage issues (although standard satellite TV is available).  Location also matters, specifically whether or not you live in a condo or apartment, where you may not be able to mount a conventional satellite to the property.  If you can get the reception or internet connection though, it would be well worth your time to look into the online satellite tv options.  No matter if you’re in a room at home that doesn’t even have a television, or your child is in the back seat of your car with his or her iphone, you’ll be on your way to having the ability to watch satellite TV online.
